Frye Art Museum, Seattle. free art for all

Fyre Art Museum is free, offers free parking across the street and has private collections and ongoing new exhibitions. Free doesn’t mean less, free means the power to be  generous, to be selfless, to extend. Art is civics. Art is inquiry.

Dab and devour alone or as a family or crazy me alone with the kids since they were in front packs and strollers.  I usually just ask my kids two questions – which piece did you notice first and why?

On current exhibition is local artist Jim Woodring. Acrylic ink on paper says the plaque description. Such humble words for  incredible artistry, vision and technique

Here is a picture of the artist Jim Woodring working on one piece and a postcard I bought since photos of exhibitions are not allowed.
