Finally, a new free playground at Seattle center. Many years ago there was an old “fun forest” of aging carnival rides for wee little kids but it got razed for glass art. Beautiful but sadly no where for the kids to have a dedicated playspace.
This new artists at play space has a backdrop of Seattle’s space needle and the loud metalic sheets of the EMP building to inspire crazy and architecture all at once . An opportunity to discuss art, architecture and engineering.
If you go, stroll over to the international fountain. It spews out water in accord to music. And yes we were treated to a rambunctious Ode to Joy watery version. Guai when you can have a middle school orchestra flashback whilst watching your children squeal with laughter.
